Responsibilities:

• Work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment
• Assume the role of animal facility manager
• Maintain housing and husbandry, genotyping, regulatory and safety, and keep thorough record for animals
• Develop breeding and genotyping protocols new strains of mice
• Maintain and stock materials/reagents/products used in animal procedures
• Perform basic animal handling procedures for pre-clinical experiments
• Create reports for experimental results and communicate them to a transdisciplinary team

Job Experience:

• B.S. or M.S.
• 1 year minimum of relevant experience required
Desired skills: About Biotherapeutics:

• Knowledge of mucosal immunity
• Oral gavage, IP injections, euthanasia, Glucose tolerance test (GTT), blood collection
• Expertise in ABSL2 and infection studies
• Mouse handling, housing and husbandry, genotyping, management, SOP development, record keep skills
• Experience implementing murine models of immune-mediated and infectious diseases
• Organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with drug development process highly desired
• Animal facility management highly desired
