The Position:
Biotherapeutics Inc is looking for a highly motivated Translational Medicine Researcher with experience in cutting-edge experimental technologies to advance novel therapeutics in the drug discovery pipeline. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in mucosal immunity to support pre-clinical and clinical studies.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment
- Assume the role of project manager and generate supportive data for pre-clinical experiments
- Assay optimization to characterize immunity at the molecular, cellular and tissue levels
- Maintain and stock materials/reagents/products used in laboratory procedures
- Create reports for experimental results and communicate them to a transdisciplinary team
Job Experience:
- B.S. or M.S.
- 1 year minimum of relevant wet-lab experience required
Desired skills:
- Knowledge of mucosal immunity
- Experience implementing murine models of immune-mediated and infectious diseases
- especially inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes and influenza
- RNA/DNA purification and characterization
- Sample processing for sequencing applications
- Multi-parameter flow cytometry staining and analysis
- ELISA-based assay optimization
- Western blot assay optimization
- Analytical software: PRISM, FACS Diva, FlowJo, Excel, SAS
- Demonstrated experience analyzing, interpreting and presenting experimental data
- Familiarity with drug development process highly desired
- Organized with strong written and verbal communication skills

BioTherapeutics (BTI) is a science-based company advancing pharmaceuticals, nutritionals, and informatics using disruptive precision medicine technology for conquering inflammation and diabetes.
